About the Secaucus Public Library
With its humble beginnings in 1935 in Town Hall’s attic, The Secaucus Public Library has grown to play an active role in a vibrant and civically engaged community; a place where people celebrate words, ideas, and community every day. With a main building in the heart of our town's Paterson Plank Road business district and a second location opening soon at the XChange Apartment Complex, our library is easily accessible to Secaucus residents and all visitors. A world-class collection, expert staff, and thousands of engaging programs each year mean that everyone can find something at the library. For more than 80 years, the Secaucus Public Library has been the cultural and informational hub of our community. About Our Arts Programming Fine Arts and Creative Arts have always played a strong role in our library's community outreach and educational programs for children and adults alike. Since the mid-1990s, the Secaucus Public Library and the Friends of the Secaucus Public Library have partnered with scores of New Jersey artists to host monthly exhibitions in our gallery space and meeting room, as well as free art workshops and craft classes for local residents of all ages. |
